'Green' words and their meanings      

    'Green' is one of the most misused words in modern English. We are told about 'green' washing-up liquids and 'green' cars.

    One car manufacturer was forced to drop an advertisement for a 'green' car: of course there are no 'green' cars. But bicycles are one hundred per cent green.
